What has the EU done for us? Reduced mobile phone roaming charges

From today, mobile phone roaming charges will be reduced and capped in the European Union, thanks to EU regulation. UK customers travelling in the EU will benefit from a substantial reduction immediately, and roaming charges in the EU will be abolished completely in 2017.
