Adam Robertson selected as Lib Dem candidate for Pakefield By-Election

Former High Kirkley School student and local community campaigner Adam Roberston is the Liberal Democrat candidate in the Waveney District Council by-election in Pakefield.

Adam has been an active campaigner for the Third Crossing in Lowestoft and has worked to get a resolution to the congestion problems in Carlton Colville. Adam and his team have been highly critical of the recent decison by Waveney District Councillors to increase their expense allowances by over 28%.

In the final year of its existence, prior to the planned merger with Suffolk Coastal Waveney District Councillors awarded themselves a backdated allowance for 2017/18 and 2018/19 of 28.6%. (increased (from £3,722) to £4,787.57 per annum, back dated to 1 April 2017).
